The free extension keeps your notes on your device. Pro is an optional monthly subscription that adds sync, AI summaries, and export. These terms cover both.
Acceptance
By installing or using the Floti browser extension, or by using floti.inpresencelab.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use Floti.

What Floti is
Floti is a browser extension that floats a notepad over YouTube videos, lets you capture timestamps, and saves your notes locally on your device.
The Free tier works without an account and keeps your notes on your own device.
Pro is an optional paid tier that adds cloud sync across devices, AI note summaries, export, and unlimited notes.
Acceptable use
Use Floti for your own note-taking. Don’t attempt to break, abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the service, and don’t use it to violate YouTube’s terms or any applicable law.
Don’t resell or redistribute Floti or use the AI features to generate unlawful or abusive content.
You are responsible for the notes you create and sync.
Accounts
Pro features require signing in (via Google). You’re responsible for keeping access to your account secure.
You can stop using your account at any time and request deletion of synced data by emailing us.
Pro subscriptions & billing
Pro is billed as a recurring monthly subscription through our payments provider, Polar.
Your subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals and Pro stays active until the end of the current period.
Except where required by law, payments for partial periods are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice; changes apply to future billing periods.
AI summaries
When you ask Floti to summarize a note, that note’s text is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic’s Claude API) to generate the summary. It is not used to train models.
AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete — treat summaries as a convenience, not a source of truth, and review them before relying on them.
Your content
Your notes are yours. We claim no ownership over them.
For Pro cloud sync, you grant us the limited permission needed to store and sync your notes so the feature works. We do not sell your data or use your notes to train AI. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Availability & changes
Floti is offered on an “as available” basis. We may update, change, or discontinue features, and we may suspend access to protect the service or comply with the law.
We’ll make reasonable efforts to keep the service working, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Disclaimers & liability
Floti is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, InPresenceLab is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Floti. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we’ll update this page and note the date below. Continuing to use Floti after changes means you accept the updated terms.
